The security question answer is information known only to the real account owner, so we strongly recommend choosing it very carefully. In effect, it is a special "key" that lets you prove quickly and easily that you are the real account owner if any problems arise. That is why, if an outsider learns the answer to your security question, they can easily impersonate you and gain full access to your client area (personal information, payment history, support ticket archive, etc.) and to your VDS with all the data on it, with all the consequences that entails!

If you forget the answer to your security question, you will not be able to reset your account password yourself and will have to provide a copy of a passport matching your registration details!

Our recommendations for the security question:

1. Always set a security question when you register
2. Use only real, truthful information in the answer. That way you will always be able to remember what you wrote, even after a very long time.
3. Choose a non-standard question whose answer is not known even to your close friends, cannot be found in your social media profiles or "casually and unnoticeably" extracted from you, but which you will know under any circumstances.

You will definitely need the security question answer if you:

- have forgotten/lost your client area password
- want to recover a lost password for your VDS
- want to change the contact information in your profile (email, phone, etc.)
- in any other case where we need to make sure we are dealing with the account owner

How to change the security question / security question answer:

For security reasons, the security question answer is not displayed in the client area and cannot be looked up. To change the question/answer yourself, you must correctly answer the security question set during registration; you can do this in the "My Details -> "Change Security Question" section of the client area.
If you don't remember the answer to your security question, or it doesn't match the answer in your profile, you will need to provide support with a copy of your passport confirming your registration details and pass phone number verification (if you haven't done so before).
