Traffic accounting is governed by our Terms of Service. This article provides explanations, answers to common questions and examples.

Q: How is traffic counted?

A: Your plan specifies the total amount of traffic (incoming + outgoing) that your server can use during a calendar month. Traffic is therefore counted from the 1st of one month to the 1st of the next, regardless of your server's billing cycle.

Q: Where can I monitor my traffic usage statistics?

A: Traffic statistics are available in the corresponding section of the VDS control panel. It shows, in real time, how much traffic your server has used since the 1st of the month, and you can also view detailed statistics (broken down by day) for the current and previous months.

Q: Are there warnings about exceeding my traffic allowance?

A: Yes, when 75, 85 and 95%  of your traffic has been used, the accounting system will send you a corresponding warning by email.

Q: What happens if I use more traffic?

A: If during the month you use more traffic than your plan includes, access to your server will be blocked until the end of the month. In that case you can simply wait or purchase additional traffic.

Please note that if your paid server rental period ends earlier, you need to renew it in time; otherwise the server will be automatically terminated 7 days after the rental period ends due to non-payment!

Q: What should I do if I need more traffic?

A: If you need more traffic, you can increase your allowance by purchasing as much as you need. Additional traffic is sold in packages of 2 EUR per 1TB (i.e. 1 000GB) and is valid until the end of the current month. Your monthly traffic allowance increases by the corresponding number of GB. Additional traffic is billed monthly, together with your server. If you purchase traffic for the current month, you pay for the full month, even if you buy it just a few days before the month ends.

For example: you pay for your server from the 21st to the 21st of each month. On the 15th (15 days before the end of the month) you see that your traffic usage has grown and the traffic included in your plan will not be enough. You decide to increase your available traffic by 1 000GB. This will cost  3 EUR/month in addition to the server rental. You will need to pay 3 EUR for the current period (until the end of the calendar month), and on the 21st, when you renew the server, you pay 3 EUR for the next month.

Update: A one-time purchase of additional traffic, valid until the end of the month, is now also available. 1TB (1 000GB) costs 3 EUR!
