The ability to upgrade (move to a larger plan) is one of the advantages of virtual servers. You can start with a minimal server configuration and move to more powerful configurations as needed. All your data, programs and settings are preserved.

As a rule, an upgrade takes only a few minutes (the server is shut down and then started again with the new parameters). However, since the resources of the host node serving your VDS are limited, sometimes it is not possible to move to a larger plan on the current host node because it has no free resources left. In this case, to perform the upgrade, your server has to be migrated to another host node that has spare resources. This always involves changing the IP address of your VDS (keeping the IP when moving between different nodes is not possible!), and your server will be unavailable while the data is being copied. The time needed for the migration in this case depends directly on the amount of data on your VDS.

To request an upgrade, submit a support request specifying the new plan. An invoice will be prepared for you, and once it is paid, our technicians will upgrade your server.

Moving to a larger plan is free of charge: you only pay the difference in plan prices, taking into account the period already paid and the remaining period. The minimum additional payment is 5 EUR. Moving to a plan with a lower monthly price (downgrade) costs 10 EUR. Migration work during business hours (from 6:00 to 23:00 Kyiv time) is free of charge; outside business hours (from 23:00 to 6:00 Kyiv time) it is charged extra (10 EUR).
